Remembering to constantly take images of my day/week seems very unnatural to me. I get immersed in a project and think, “Oh crap, I forgot again”!

Here is my go for this week:

Books

I totally recommend this art book by contemporary artist Nicola Tyson ( click on the image for more).

Her work speaks to me on an instinctual level, a high place of deep knowing. Her work is where I prefer to be myself but feel the wider audience does not seem to get me when I swim in the contemporary lane.

Note to self: investigate need to please…

A book found at my local Goodwill hunting day.

$1.99 what a steal. A retro book about Mazes! I have the same game plan every time I visit GoodWill… I hit the book section for crafts/art, the t-shirt aisle, and then move into housewares! The best art books can be found at GoodWill. I want to keep the book in pristine condition so I think I will print a few pages and relive my childhood in a maze.

I doodle to keep sane. It is a practice that lies somewhere between sketching and drawing, not really living totally in one space or another but rather a place to let go, be free, and get a pen on paper.

This week I purchased a new Ink Dip Pen Holder from Jet Pens.

I LOVE the dip pen nib holder, T-40 Tachikawa in Natural, it has the capability to hold both regular and round nibs and feels so comfortable to use when holding for long periods of time.

I also use Zebra G Nibs and Tachikawa Mapping Nibs.
