.
I am a currently an unmonitored woman.
I’ve travelled through the belly of the beast, (quite a few actually)made it out the other side, and am no longer tethered. Not to a man , a child , a crappy boss, mounds of house work, putting up with mounds of BS , etc.
I am the boss.
I gave my years rearing half way decent citizens, good ole’ taxpayers. I tried ‘married”… twice…..Um, no thank you.
Now I make the rules and live how I wish to live, FINALLY.
Eat what I want , travel where I want, sleep whenever I want to sleep.
Seeking compromise or permission for such autonomy is no longer attractive to me. I will no longer stay back or stay quiet.
Declaring my right to sovereignty feels good , and not allowing opinions from outside sources keeps me on track . The dreams I dreamt sit here in my lap tucked into a cozy blanket with a puppy named June by my side.
At this point , you are probably thinking… geez, enough already, bragging about your free life, what is this rant hour???..
I did not create this life on my own. There is no shit ball way I could have broken such thick patriarchy concrete with bare hands of my own.
No way.
In a world tangled up and extremely noisy feeling grateful for my hard earned position in life is how I honor those before me and sisters who are not yet free.
The gratefulness I feel for my unmonitored state belongs to all wild women, sisters, mothers, daughters who paved a path, a way forward, a cobble stone walkway built for us to explore, spread our wings and fly.
Here is to NOT feeling guilty or giving a rat’s ass what anyone thinks of our “Odd art” or “strange Hobby”. Here is to leaning into your power, grace and knowledge and sharing wisdom with other women.
I am living this life because of you and I thank you.
Keep making art , living in wonder, reading books, and enjoying life.

Thanks for sharing, found your thoughts and actions soo moving and empowering. Tons of thanks and love! Big hug
You have touched my wildness and my heart with your words - thank you
