April 25' Studio Bits
Feeling addicted to my phone. Apple Watch, notifying me constantly … person seen at doorbell, text from blah blah blah… Buildings on fire, people in the street screaming at cars, waving poster board, taxes, tariffs, OMG , STOP.
The Noise makes me feel sick. As an introverted person, noise has always had a negative impact on my sanity.
So , instead of bringing my phone as a companion into my pottery space, I left her alone in my bathroom.
The result was pure silence. Me working , hands busy sculpting raw clay into magical creatures who live in my head. WONDERFUL.
I love watching the subject transform and emerge from balls of wet earth…
I need to make adjustments to my pottery studio space as it is not heated and gets cold in the winter months, too cold for my liking. I love working with clay but hate waiting until the weather permits! Thankfully the sun is shining , birds are singing , and buds peeking through.
